Design of an Integrated Waste Management Facility in Fokida

The project involved the design of an Integrated Waste Management Facility located in Fokida Region.

The main components of the IWM facility are:

i) a 6,000 t/a composting plant for biowaste processing

The composting plant has been designed to receive biowaste and green waste, and comprises in vessel composting – maturation and refining, to produce high quality compost intended for agricultural use.

ii) a 20,000 t/a landfill for the disposal of residual waste. The design of the site allows the phasing of the landfill’s filling and includes all required supporting infrastructure to ensure optimal site’s operation.
