EPTA SA participated as technical partner in C-TRACK 50, a project funded by the Horizon 2020 programme of the European Union.

The project supported the EU long term targets for reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, by mobilizing and guiding public authorities in defining long term energy policy priorities, and supporting regional and local authorities in developing, financing and implementing ambitious integrated sustainable energy and climate policy action plans in order to achieve climate resilience and carbon neutrality by 2050.

The National Technical University of Athens served as Project Coordinator of C-Track 50.

Several, successfully held, roundtables were organized for local authorities supported by C Track 50, discussing with participants policy priorities at the local and regional level for 2050. In addition, challenges in local long term planning were discussed, whilst 12 priority projects were identified per municipality, so that these can be actively pursued, through the development of funding proposals, with the support of the project.

Partners from eleven (11) different EU countries participated in C-TRACK 50 project for a period of three (3) years.
