The project involved the design of the Sanitary Landfill for the residual waste in Arta, in Epirus Region (Greece). The project was designed with lifetime of 16 years and capacity of approximately 850,000 m³ for the needs of residues final disposal.

The project included lining system, storm waterworks, leachate collection and treatment systems, biogas collection and treatment, leachate treatment plant, final capping and other infrastructures.

EPTA was responsible for the environmental impacts assessment (EIA) study of the project and its successful approval.
